Recce Pharmaceuticals shares last traded at 63 cents

Recce Pharmaceuticals (RCE) has dosed its first cohort of both male and female subjects as part of its phase I/II UTI clinical trial evaluating R327 at faster infusion rates.

Doses of 2500 milligrams (mg) of RECCE 327 (R327) were administered in the cohort via a 30-minute IV drip.

Safety outcomes were observed without hitch across both its patients; the results of phase I/II testing will be used to inform the dosage and infusion time lengths for the phase two clinical trial.

Furthermore, no adverse side effects have been reported at any stage thus far.

The company reported efforts to accelerate participant recruitment are advancing well in Adelaide and Sydney alongside partners CMAX and Scientia Clinical Research, respectively. 

Phase one had 80 subjects and the company won ethics rights to expand phase I/II.

Recce Pharmaceuticals Non-Executive Director Dr Alan W Dunton mentioned that R327 has so far displayed superior ability to outplace plasma in urine.

“In Recce’s completed 80-subject phase one study of R327 administered as a 1-hour infusion, data showed that R327 concentrated in the urine by at least 15-fold compared to plasma concentrations,” he said.

Recce Pharmaceuticals shares last traded at 63 cents.
